Guru has made an interesting infographic which provides a fantastic insight on job board performance and market fluctuations.

Application to jobs using mobile devices are astonishingly quite low at 3.3% in 2011, with poor website accessibility or CV not saved to a mobile device was seen as the main reason for the low percentage. Of the 3.3%, about 46% was done using iPhone, 17% using Android and only 12% from Blackberry devices.

Another incredible information from Guru is that most people seek for a job mostly on weekdays than on weekends. A whooping 64% of applications are made by jobseekers during their working hours between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Usually, weekly traffic peaks during Tuesday at lunchtime and about 8% of the job applications are made between 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. Weekend mornings has the worst result, making up just 1% of the total weekly apps.

Guru suggests that hiring managers should target precise sites with a clear and distinct recruitment brief to ensure a higher percentage of relevant applications. According to the infographic, most of the time, only 13% are highly relevant applicants or highly qualified for the job posting, 4% show some relevancy but may lack key skills or experience and an astonishing 83% of the applicants are not suitable for the position they applied for.

The next time you plan to hire people, consider reading this infographic for valuable information.
